Dorset Bowls Resort
Dorset Bowls Resort are currently coaching over 100 new bowlers at their new indoor bowling club (The Dorset Resort Indoor Bowling Club).
Peter Sherlock, the Dorset Senior Coach, has organised a team of over 24 coaches to help train up all the new bowlers. Shortly they will also be running new leagues.
Their Grand Opening will take place on Friday 16th October at 11:00am by David Bryant CBE and Tony Allcock MBE followed by an exhibition game between Andy Thomson and Graham Shadwell.
It promises to be a memorable day.

Under 18 International Series - 10th and 11th October 2009:
Jim Baker Stadium, County Antrim
Twelve players, under the age of 18, will represent England against teams from Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the
Channel Islands.
The players are from all over England, Isle of Wight in the south, York in the north, and in the west, Devon.
There will be two mixed teams of 6 players representing England, Scotland and Wales and just 1 team representing
Ireland and the Channel Isles.
The games will be played in sets, 7 ends of 2 woods for the Singles and Triples and 9 ends of 2 woods for
the Pairs.
They recently met at Nottingham Indoor Bowls Club where they showed
a high level of skill relating to the disciplines required for this Series.
We wish them well in this inaugural match as well as enjoyment and success.

Ladies President Tour
Our new Ladies President, Irene Godfrey, has arranged for her Presidential Tour week to visit the South West and is inviting your members to join her.
The tour will take place between Monday 22nd to Friday 26th March 2010,
with the TLH Leisure Resort in Torquay being the Tour’s base. As well as matches at TLH there will be games at ISCA and Torquay United and once the matches are over you can either relax in the Hotel’s bars or experience the Hotels entertainment in their Starlight Ballroom.
