Indoor Bowling Clubs

There are currently over 330 Clubs in England being a mixture of privately owned, members' and Local Authority administered Clubs, with a combined membership of 110,000 men and 54,000 women. The age profile ranges from as young as 7 to 80 years plus.

The Clubs' premises are mainly purpose built varying in size from three to ten rinks. The National Lottery has enabled the building of even more clubs during the past five years with a total of £15 million of lottery money being granted by the Sport England Lottery Fund.

Each Club is responsible for its own Management and Finances. They offer a mixture of Casual and Competitive Games, with most Clubs operating a full League Programme throughout the week, and Inter-Club fixtures at the Weekend. Additional competitive play is offered in the form of Club Knock-out Competitions, plus County Association Competitions and National Championships operated by the two Governing Bodies.

Many Clubs operate Youth Sections - encouraging participation in a variety of Competitions tailored to the ages of the participants -
