Specialist insurance cover for EIBA clubs

A tailor-made insurance policy designed by Gallagher and Hiscox

EIBA's insurance broking partner, Gallagher, in conjunction with Hiscox, has developed a specialist insurance policy to help protect indoor bowling clubs against the risks they face.

Why consider a specialist insurance solution?

No matter how diligently you run your bowls club, incidents can happen that may cause injury to customers or employees, or disruption to your business. This flexible insurance policy is designed to protect clubs against potentially costly claims and help get things up and running again quickly after an insured incident. Because it has been developed especially for bowling clubs, it can offer you more relevant and comprehensive protection than an off-the-shelf business insurance product.

Whether your club owns or rents your building, hosts various types of events, and no matter how many members you have, Gallagher can arrange cover that meets your specific needs.

Cover includes*:
Damage to buildings and contents - including carpets, bowling shoes and equipment - caused by fire, flood, storm, theft and vandalism**
Damage to suspended ceilings, including up to £2,000 emergency pay-out for repairs.
Costs incurred if a tournament or event is cancelled, whether it’s home or away
Relocation to a temporary venue if a green can’t be used, including up to £5,000 for use of another club’s facilities
Loss of earnings if an issue nearby prevents players or audiences accessing your club
Theft of or damage to members’ bowling kit left in the club lockers
Cover if an employee or member brings a claim against the club for injury as a result of business activity.

Optional covers*:
Directors' & Officers' Liability - Legal defence costs and valuable added protection for individuals

Commercial Legal Expenses - Legal defence costs in respect of employment disputes, contract disputes (including tenancy), tax/VAT Investigations plus 24-hour legal helpline.

Personal Accident & Travel Covers losses financially should key members of staff within your club be unable to work due to injury caused by an accident. The travel policy covers the cost of medical and travel expenses in the event of an emergency

Gallagher also offer access to an online health and safety risk management tool designed to help small businesses minimise risk.
