National Competitions - Update
The EIBA has reviewed its plans for the
completion of the 2019-2020 National Finals and the 2020-2021 Winter
National Competitions programme, based on the current Government
easing of the COVID-19 lockdown.
With Indoor Bowls, along
will all other Indoor sports, still not being permitted to take
place and what, if any, restrictions applied to any activity being
unknown the EIBA have made the following decisions: -
Reschedule of the 2019-2020 Finals
will now not be scheduled to take place at the end of September to
early October, as originally planned.
However, they are now
provisionally scheduled to be held during 1st November to 20th
With the expectation that over the next few
weeks fuller details on when and how Indoor Bowls can restart will
be received, a final decision on whether the Finals can be played
will be announced on 2nd September 2020.
The EIBA trust that
all the competitors involved will understand this decision due to
the continuing uncertainty but can now make plans for the next few
2020-2021 Winter National Competitions
The EIBA are continuing plans for these to commence in the
Autumn of 2020.
To accommodate the 2019-2020 Finals
re-scheduling all Club and County team competitions will now start
from the weekend of 21st-22nd November.
competitions will be able to commence from October.

5th to 23rd April 2021.

The EIBA will
continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and if necessary, review
and update the Competition Schedules.
