WOMEN'S JUNIOR MANAGER PRAISES PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE
This weekend our Women's Under 25 international team had a nail-biting win in the British Isles Series.
Team manager Lorraine Kuhler
reflects on the successful performance:
"Building on last year, where we lost a large proportion of our
team (due to age), it was a bit of a reset for us in terms of
selection. The team started with six new caps and a recall plus one
of the reserves, who played, was also a new cap.
"There were
lots of new combinations and players playing in positions for the
first time. I can't stress enough how professionally the girls
approached the challenge ahead of them, showing dedication and
commitment to their preparation right from the squad day, up to
final bowl of the last game."
Lorraine praised the spirit of
the team:
"The atmosphere was buzzing all the way through.
Everyone 100 percent supported each other both on and off the
green, from the minute we got to Aberdeen they settled together as a
unit with such a positive vibe. Also, a competitive UNO tournament
on Friday night to help build up the togetherness which showed on
the rink.
"I'm so proud and honoured to be their manager.
The team has been so attentive in meetings, they've taken on board
and embraced every bit of advice we as a management team have given
them; which in all honesty, is just tinkering around the edges to
give them that extra one percent as they are such a talented team
and I think their results this weekend demonstrated that.
"They applied themselves with true professionalism, dignity and
passion throughout, and deserve the reward of being the 2025
champions."
