BOWLS DEVELOPMENT ALLIANCE ROADSHOWS
The Bowls Development Alliance in
partnership with the EIBA will be running roadshows throughout
England in early 2026
Working alongside the EIBA and other
National Governing Body partners, the roadshows aim to provide the
tools, knowledge and support needed to help clubs grow, recruit new
members, strengthen governance and build stronger links with their
communities.
All roadshows are free to attend
and open to every bowls club in England. Spaces are limited to
two people per club. Click
here
to access the webpage for additional details.
What to Expect
Across the roadshows, clubs will be able to take part in
focused workshops that explore practical ways to strengthen their
offer, improve operations and engage their communities.
Sessions will vary by venue, with most roadshows offering two
workshops and some providing additional options.
The
themed workshops will cover:
- Recruitment and
retention, including Bowls Bash, community engagement and school
involvement
- Coaching and player development, led by
Coach Bowls, with guidance on structures and pathways
-
Governance and club operations, focusing on volunteers, committees
and financial sustainability
- Community connection,
including consultation, inclusion and creating a welcoming club
environment
- Greens maintenance, with drop in support
from industry specialists throughout the day
